Clinic Introduction
You can anticipate something a little different at your first appointment with us. Instead of the standard teeth cleaning and cursory 5-minute dental exam, we start with a comprehensive 1 12 hour examination appointment. We examine your current restorations, check the condition of your teeth, take any necessary x-rays, test the health of your gums, and check for any bite disorders. During this time we check for structural issues that may be causing uneven wear, breakage or even cavities. Then if you are a candidate, we test for the presence of cavity causing bacteria. This assessment and screening provides us with very valuable information we can use to practice minimally invasive dentistry and reduce your time and money spent in the dental chair.
