Dr. Veligdan has a commitment to always use the safest, least toxic way to accomplish the goals of modern dentistry and of contemporary healthcare. He strives to achieve the best results to always use the most conservative and least invasive procedures that will produce the best results.Examples of this would include: doing non-surgical periodontal or gum treatments instead of surgery, doing a nerve treatment preserving the nerve rather than a full root canal treatment, and doing a partial crown, onlay, rather than a very invasive full crown.In addition to being in private practice for over 38 years, Dr. Veligdan was also a Clinical Professor of Dentistry for 24 years at Columbia University Dental School. He was on staff at The Presbyterian Hospital of NYC for 19 years. Dr. Veligdan has been a Leader in Cosmetic Dentistry and Bonding since 1975 and a pioneer in Porcelain Laminate Veneers since 1981. He has lectured nationally and internationally on the latest techniques in Cosmetic Dentistry and Porcelain Veneers, and created first teaching videotape of the technique for dentists and students.Dr. Veligdan was elected to The National Dental Honor Society (top 10%), Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and was included in the 2012 "The Leading Physicians of the World. He appeared in the premier issue of Marquis' Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare. He was featured on ABC's "Good Morning America" performing the first smile makeover using Porcelain Laminate Veneers on national TV, and has been featured in GQ magazine and on ABC, CBS, FOX, CNN, CNBC, and WOR television and radio.Dr. Robert Veligdan is a Professional Member of the Holistic Dental Society and International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and a Fellow of the Institute of Nutritional Systemic Dentistry.
