He received his D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from Oregon Health Sciences University. He did a one-year Resident program with Genesee Hospital in Rochester, New York. Growing up in the Salt Lake Valley most of his life, he wanted to return to the place he loved to start his private dental practice in Sandy and later in Draper.
