Clinic Introduction

Dr. Priya Purohit, a board certified pediatric dentist, provides state of the art facilities and dental care to children in the Bellevue area. Dr. Purohit is excited to be able to provide quality care to children of all ages including those with special needs. Dr. Purohit comes extremely qualified having completed her general dental training, magna cum laude, and pediatric subspecialty training at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, one of the pre-eminent dental education institutes in the United States. She is one of the few pediatric dental providers in the greater Nashville area to receive board certification in her field, assuring patients and their families that they will be receiving the best care possible. Prior to moving to Nashville, Dr. Purohit enjoyed a successful practice in Springfield, Illinois where she was heavily involved not only in patient care but in shaping policies that help guide other dentists in the field. She was the first pediatric dentist to serve on Southern Illinois University School of Medicine’s Cleft, Lip and Palate Craniofacial team. She was a member of several dental organizations regionally and statewide and served as President of the local chapter of the Illinois State Dental Society and received the Sullivan Leadership Award upon the completion of her term. In addition, Dr. Purohit spent much of her time with various community organizations, serving on the board for several charitable events including the March of Dimes and St. Judes Hospital fundraisers. Since moving to Nashville, Dr. Purohit has spent the last year training resident Pediatric Dentists and providing care through the Lutheran residency program in downtown Nashville. Since her tenure began there as faculty, she has trained over a dozen pediatric dentists in the latest techniques and continues to be involved with the training program. In addition to her participation with Lutheran, Dr. Purohit maintains hospital privileges at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
