He attended the University of Kansas and graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). He then completed a two and a half year residency in orthodontics at the University of Colorado-Denver, receiving a Master of Science in Dentistry in the process. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Southwest Society of Orthodontists, Kansas Dental Association and the Wichita District Dental Society. Outside of the orthodontic clinic, Dr. Snider is a freelance cartoonist and illustrator. He enjoys running, reading, watching Kansas basketball and spending time with his daughter, Anna, his son, Trent, and his wife, Kayla.
