Clinic Introduction

Dr. David Tran, Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon, is a well-educated medical and dental professional who has been serving his community for over a decade. He is a native of Southern California and attained his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego in 1999. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California Los Angeles in 2005 and proceeded to complete a 1 year General Surgery Internship at Providence Hospital while simultaneously completing his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine and a 4 year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at St. John Providence Health System. Dr. Tran volunteers extensively through projects to treat the uninsured in his community and has traveled on several surgical missions to Colombia to treat children with maxillofacial malformations and deformities reconstructing cleft lips and pallets. He has also received several academic awards during his training such as the Gertraud Wollschlaeger Scholarship, Board of Governors Scholarship, William W. Stout Scholarship, Dental Student Seed Grant, and the Exceptional Performance Report in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Tran’s professional affiliations include the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association and the American Medical Association. Besides providing exceptional dental care to his patients, Dr. Tran enjoys fishing, biking, skiing, photography, and traveling.
