Clinic Introduction

Dr. Braun is a 1982 graduate of New York University, College of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Braun served in the United States Naval Reserves as a dental officer where she completed a multi-disciplinary program focusing on restorative and preventive care, emergency triage casualty care and team approach treatment planning. Dr. Braun continued her active Naval Reserves participation and retired as a Lieutenant Commander. In 1988, Dr. Braun began her private practice in Palo Alto with the Palo Alto Dental Group. Early in her career, she embraced technology and lectured on the use and integration of intra-oral cameras for the dentist. She later moved her practice to Menlo Park. This change of venue allowed Dr. Braun to modernize and offer the latest technology to her patients and her staff with fully-networked computers in each operatory, intra-oral cameras, lasers, digital radiography and CADCAM CEREC® restorations. Being a devoted student of dental adhesion and minimally invasive dentistry, her philosophy of combining technology with a personal touch has become a standard of care to be emulated. Smiles Dentistry is widely recognized for excellence in dental care and is a 2010 Best Bay Area Doctors Award winner. Dr. Braun earned Fellowship standing in the World Clinical Laser Institute, is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Association of Women Dentists. She also serves on the Peer Review Committee with the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society and is an adjunct professor for University of Pacific Dental School. Dr. Braun and her husband, Oscar, live in Half Moon Bay, California. Her personal interests are centered around the outdoors, camping and hiking
